Northern Morocco Tour – 5 Days

You start your trip from Tangier, where you will be picked up by our drivers from the airport or the port and begin the journey to Chefchaouen. Along the way, you will drive across the Rif Mountains and enjoy the breathtaking views around every corner that the mixed scenery of the mountains, together with the Mediterranean Sea, has to offer.

You will then drive through the beautiful city of Tetouan and see some of its famous places. Following that, you will ride on to Chefchaouen, a gorgeous town filled with beauty and little hidden places to explore. Finally, you will go on a guided tour of the city and enjoy its charming narrow streets with blue and white colors painted on every house, creating a marvelous picture.

On the second day of your trip, you will drive through the Rif Mountains toward the holy town of Moulay Driss. This is one of Morocco’s most famous holy sites and is host to the mausoleum of Moulay Driss, the founder of Fes.

After lunch, you will continue to the nearby archeological site of Volubilis, one of Morocco’s richest and most important world heritage sites. After that, you will visit Meknes and take a tour of the city to see its most famous places, including the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the city’s founder. After having explored Meknes, you will carry on to the city of Fes.

On the third day of your north of Morocco tour, you will have the opportunity to visit the spiritual capital of Morocco, Fes. This ancient city is one of Africa’s most important cultural and religious heritage sites.

First, you will take a guided Medina tour, starting with the Royal Palace. From there, you will head to the 16th-century Borj Sud and take a stunning view of the walled city. Then, you will delve deep into the UNESCO world heritage Medina. Walk through narrow streets, charming bazaars, ancient madrassas, and hillside shrines.

Next, visit the bustling Nejjarine square, and discover Moroccan art in the Dar Batha Museum. Fes is a truly captivating city with plenty of places to see and explore. After finishing your city tour, you will spend the night resting at your riad or hotel.

On the fourth day, you will drive to the city of Tangier and check in to your hotel upon arrival. After lunch, you will meet your guide, who will take you on a guided city tour. Next, you will drive to Cap Spartel and the archeological cave complex of Hercules caves. This is where the two oceans meet, the Atlantic coast and the Mediterranean Sea.

After that, you will continue to Tangier Medina and visit the Mandoubia Gardens and the Grand Succo. From here, your tour ends, and you are free to spend the rest of the evening at leisure. You’ll be able to choose to do so for those who would like to leave for Spain on this day.

After having breakfast, you will depart to Tangier port or airport for departure.
