Your Marrakech day trip to the Atlas Mountains will start with a drive through winding roads and across the Agafay desert heading south. You will pass by the Houaz Plains and stop at the stunning Lake of Lalla Takerkoust first. Next, you’ll visit a Berber house – belonging to a generous and hospitable lady called Fadma, who was kind enough to agree to receive guests at her home. You’ll be welcomed with Berber mint tea, homemade bread, and olive oil – all fresh organic food rich in taste and surely different from what you’re used to. If your tour falls on a Tuesday or Saturday, you’ll get to experience the Souk. This local outdoor market plays an integral part in the livelihoods of many locals. Here you can find silver jewelry artwork, handmade sandals, grains, spices, and much more for sale.
