Moroccoan Gems Tour

Upon your arrival at Marrakech airport, transport will be provided to take you to your Riad.

Visit the Koutoubia Mosque and the Minaret’s exterior premises. Carry on to the 600 years old Saadian tombs with their prestigious design. Continue to the 19th century Bahia palace, a standing example of exquisite Moroccan and Islamic architecture. After that, you will get to explore the Medina with its souks and narrow streets filled with Moroccan goodies. You will then have lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, you will visit Madrassa Ben Youssef, a well known old college of theology. After that, you will get to enjoy a drive-through from Gueliz to Majorellle Gardens on one of Marrakech’s famous horse-drawn carriages. The rest of the day will be yours to spend freely.

Drive from Marrakech to the Berber village of Ait Ben Hadou to visit the UNESCO world heritage site of Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou. After finishing your visit, you will have lunch and continue to the small town of Agdaz. Continue to Zagora, where you will have dinner and spend the night at your hotel.

Cross the peaks of the Anti-Atlas Mountains to the oasis of Alnif. After lunch, drive to Merzouga through the town of Rissani. Ride on your camel through the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi sand dunes and witness sunset in an epic view of unending far-stretching sand. Have dinner and spend the night at your Sahara desert camp.

Have breakfast, meet your driver in Merzouga, and then head to Erfoud where you will be able to visit a fossils workshop. Drive to Todra Gorges through Tinghir while enjoying the oasis. Optionally, you can take a walk at the oasis for an hour before reaching the canyons. Have lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to Dades valley through the road of 1001 Kasbahs. Have dinner and spend the night at your hotel.

Have breakfast, then head to Dades Canyons, where you will be met by a splendid natural view. Drive along the Valley of the Roses and visit a rose water distilling factory to browse their various options. Carry on to the oasis of Skoura, where you will explore the local Kasbah of Amridil. Continue to Ouarzazate, where you will have lunch at a local restaurant. You can also visit the Ouarzazate film studio sets famous for hosting many Hollywood blockbusters and all-time hits. Drive back to Marrakech and by Tizi Ntichka pass. Have the rest of the day for yourself to spend at leisure.

Have breakfast at your hotel and then meet your driver who will take you on a day trip to the coastal town of Essaouira. Cross the Houz planes to the village of Sidi Mokhtar where you can witness goats effortlessly climbing Argan trees. Learn about the way local ladies process oil when you visit a cooperative. Enjoy a visit to Val d’Argan, a vineyard that produces quality red and white wine, and have a wine tasting session if you are a wine lover. Continue to Essaouira and meet your local guide who will take you on a visit of the fishermen harbor, the citadels, and the old Medina. After that, have lunch at the fishermen’s port where they serve great quality seafood. spend some time enjoying the beach before heading back to Marrakech.

Have breakfast, and then choose what activities you would like to partake in:

• Have the whole day or half of it free to yourself.
• Take a Moroccan cooking class at La Maison Arabe and learn first hand how to prepare Tagine, Pastilla or Couscous.
• Enjoy a spa session at one of the riad’s oriental spas.
• Go quad biking for half a day in the palm grove outside Marrakech.
• Go shopping to get some Moroccan goods in the Souks.

Have the rest of the day to spend at leisure before you are taken back to Marrakech airport.
