We will also drive past Asni village, which will be the starting point of our climb to the Massif. As we make our way up, you’ll be able to see all the tiny Berber villages scattered around the hillsides when you look down.
We keep going until we make it to Imlil village, and that’s where our journey begins. You’ll meet our experienced mountain guides, who will take you to the top. We’ll carry your luggage and gear on mules, so you don’t have to worry about anything slowing you down on your trek.

Here, you will enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by natural beauty. After a short break, we will resume our hike to Toubkal refuge. This basecamp is located in the sheltering bosom of Mother Nature, providing a perfect spot to rest and recharge before continuing your journey.
Before beginning the next day’s ascent, today’s hike will give your legs a thorough workout and test their endurance. Take it easy tonight and enjoy spending some time in nature, either by camping out under the stars or staying in the Toubkal refuge. Keep in mind, though, that if you want to camp, it should only be done when the weather permits.
Regardless of your choice, make sure to get a good night’s sleep and prepare to meet the majestic Toubkal summit the next day.
After we enjoy an early breakfast, we will start our climb to the Toubkal Summit at 5:30 AM. The routes to the summit change depending on the season: During wintertime, they are shorter but steeper and take 3 to 4 hours. Generally, the ascent is non-technical and safe, but it can still get challenging at some point.
As you get closer to the summit, there are more challenging sections where you need to be careful. However, our experienced guides will help you navigate safe routes and avoid any risky ones. We will spend around 45 minutes on the summit; we don’t want to stay too long so that you don’t suffer from altitude sickness.
. Make sure that you don’t let your camera out for too long in wintertime, as the sub-zero temperature at the summit will quickly drain your camera batteries!
After an invigorating and challenging hike up Mt. Toubkal, you will return to the refuge to rest and recover. You will then head back down the mountain, meeting your driver in Imlil before being dropped off at your hotel in Marrakech. Your 2-day Toubkal trek will end with fond memories and a sense of accomplishment.
